The Peninsula is without a doubt the most famous hotel in Hong Kong, as well as being the oldest in the city, opening in 1928. The epitome of old world elegance, it oozes luxury and refinement. With a fleet of green Rolls-Royces for the use of guests, and The Peninsula Suite which features a double-height living room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the breathtaking harbour, it’s hard to beat The Peninsula for elegance and luxury.

Four Seasons
Located in the Central District, The Four Seasons has stunning views over both Victoria Harbour and Kowloon, as well as the city and Victoria Peak. The breathtaking outdoor infinity pool provides jaw-dropping views over the Harbour, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in every room and suite just highlights the positioning of this luxury hotel. Four Seasons Hong Kong is also home to Michelin-starred restaurant, Lung King Heen.

Ritz-Carlton
The Ritz-Carlton in Hong Kong is known for being the tallest hotel in Hong Kong, which, understandably comes with some breathtaking views. However, our favourite aspect of the Ritz-Carlton is actually the spa. You see it gets quite foggy in Hong Kong, so quite often you can’t actually appreciate the height of the hotel. The fog is much more appealing though when you have the stunning spa as a back-up – we recommend the Spa Suite Experience, it really is out of this world amazing!
Best Hotel for Location
Upper House
Upper House has probably caused the most buzz in the hotel-world in Hong Kong. Ultra modern and luxurious in every way possible, it’s located in the very centre of the city so it’s easy to get to all the main sights, and features spacious studios and suites, with the smallest being 730 sq ft, and the largest being a huge 1,960 sq ft. The bathrooms are the best feature of every room, with jaw-dropping views over the Harbour and city.
Best Contemporary Hotel
W Hong Kong
W Hong Kong is one of the best hotels in Starwood’s W hotel chain, with a contemporary luxury hotel perfect for anyone who balks at the idea of your typical classic five star hotel. For those a little more hip and trendy, the W offers a rooftop swimming pool named ‘Wet’, and the Extreme ‘Wow’ Suite with panoramic views of the city and Victoria Harbour.
Best Hotel for Business Travellers
Intercontinental
It’s hard to beat the Intercontinental when you’re travelling on business. Both the location and comfort of the hotel are vital contributors to why we’ve chosen it.
