JJ Goodman, mixologist and creator of the London Cocktail Club, presents a series of cocktail recipes to give you a taste of the Paris cocktail scene. Some of the cocktails are actually served in the coolest bars in Paris, while others are inspired by the bars themselves.
The Bâton Rouge Cocktail Recipe is inspired by the Bâton Rouge cocktail bar in South Pigalle, a Louisiana-style lounge with wooden loungers, peanut shells underfoot and 1930s New Orleans concoctions including pelican milk. It’s based on vermouth, and is a fantastic drink for sipping on of an evening in a dark and smokey gentleman’s club or bar.
