Luxury candles is the term mostly used to describe a glass jar containing fragranced wax presented in a gift box. The fragrance may be exquisite, the glass jar may be pretty and the gift box may be luxurious, however, Parable Designs offer a little more in a luxury candle by designing its candles so that the wax itself is a work of art.
When Nigel Parker discovered 1,800 vintage American wallpaper printing rollers in 1989, he instantly recognized the quality and skill to create such intricate design detail, and bought them on impulse. He later added 600 British rollers to this already vast collection and with his partner, Amanda Barry, they set up Parable Designs and embarked on a journey to develop their own processes to replicate the rollers. The result is the production of detailed moulds inspired by those vintage artifacts.
Today, Parable create the most beautiful handcrafted candles from its own moulds. A particular favourite from the collection is a warm creamy rapeseed wax with a selection of gorgeous fragrances, exquisite handpainted finishes, presented in a beautifully designed luxury gift box.
