First opened: May 2018

Located on the idyllic east coast of Corfu, Ikos Dassia is a sanctuary of elegance and ease. With a quick 20-minute transfer from Corfu airport, this resort is perfect for families and couples seeking a hassle-free luxury experience. Located close to Corfu Town, Ikos Dassia offers both convenience and serenity. The resort is nestled in a lush, green setting, with easy access to cultural sites and local attractions. The nearby village provided a charming glimpse into local life, making it a perfect mix of relaxation and exploration.

• While the resort offers numerous pools, the beach may not be as breathtaking as those at other Ikos properties. Additionally, the traditional high-rise accommodation might not appeal to everyone.

The accommodations at Ikos Dassia are a perfect blend of modern elegance and comfort. Our stay in a Deluxe Sea View Suite was exceptional, with spacious interiors, chic decor, and a stunning view of the Ionian Sea. The room was equipped with a plush king-sized bed, a stylish sitting area, and a luxurious bathroom complete with premium toiletries. The attention to detail, from the welcoming bottle of wine to the daily refreshed minibar, truly made the stay feel special.

Ikos Dassia’s Food & Drink Offering

The dining experience at Ikos Dassia is unparalleled. With a choice of seven à la carte restaurants, each meal was a culinary adventure. The French restaurant, Provence, offered exquisite dishes with fine wines, while Ouzo served authentic Greek delicacies in a charming setting. The buffet at Flavors was also impressive, with a diverse range of dishes that changed daily. The sommelier’s selections were particularly notable, enhancing every dining experience

Ikos Dassia’s Facilities

Ikos Dassia, like all Ikos resorts, boasts an extensive array of facilities, including multiple pools, a state-of-the-art spa, and a well-equipped gym. The beach was beautiful, though not as expansive as other Ikos properties. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary use of a MINI car to explore the local area. The service was impeccable throughout, with staff always ready to assist with a smile.

2. Ikos Odisia, Corfu: The Epitome of Family Luxury

First opened: May 2023

Just across from Dassia, Ikos Odisia offers a more intimate and boutique feel despite its size, making it an excellent choice for families. We visited as an extended family, and our little niece truly loved this resort, excitedly telling us it was her favorite vacation ever! Ikos Odisia’s location across from Ikos Dassia allows for easy access to Corfu Town and nearby attractions. The resort is set in a peaceful area, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The natural beauty of the surroundings, with lush gardens and sea views, adds to the overall charm of the resort.

• Family-Oriented: Exceptional Kids Club with engaging activities and beautifully designed play areas.
• Gastronomic Excellence: A variety of high-quality restaurants cater to every taste.

Our stay in a Junior Suite at Ikos Odisia was characterized by elegance and comfort. The room featured contemporary decor, a comfortable bed, and a private balcony with garden views. The attention to detail was evident in the thoughtful amenities, such as a Nespresso machine and a selection of premium toiletries. The suite was spacious and perfectly maintained, offering a serene retreat after a day of activities.

Ikos Odisia’s Food & Drink Offering

Ikos Odisia offers a variety of dining experiences with a focus on high-quality ingredients and impeccable service. The Italian restaurant, Fresco, was a standout, serving delicious pasta dishes and exquisite desserts. Anaya, the Asian fusion restaurant, offered a delightful mix of flavors. The buffet restaurant, Flavors, provided a wide selection of dishes, catering to all tastes. The cocktail menu at the bars was extensive, and the bartenders were skilled in creating refreshing drinks

Ikos Odisia’s Facilities

The resort’s facilities, like all Ikos resorts, are extensive and family-friendly. The Kids Club was a highlight, offering engaging activities that kept the little ones entertained. The pools were well-maintained and the spa provided a range of relaxing treatments. The fitness center was modern and well-equipped, and the beach, while smaller, was clean and perfect for a quick dip. The resort’s layout, with its village-like atmosphere, made it easy to navigate and explore.

3. Ikos Olivia, Halkidiki: A Nature Lover’s Paradise

First opened: 2015

The bungalow suite at Ikos Olivia was a haven of luxury and comfort. Spacious and elegantly designed, the room featured a private garden and a sea view terrace. The interior was modern with a cozy ambiance, complemented by top-notch amenities like a plush king-sized bed, a well-stocked minibar, and a luxurious bathroom. The room service was prompt and attentive, adding to the overall exceptional experience.

Ikos Olivia’s Food & Drink Offering

Dining at Ikos Olivia was, like other Ikos resorts, an exceptional experience. The resort offers a variety of restaurants, each providing a unique culinary journey. However, I will say that once you’ve dined at a couple of Ikos resorts, it is all fairly samey, with the restaurants being quite similar. For us at Ikos Olivia, Fresco stood out with its authentic Italian dishes, while Ouzo served delectable Greek cuisine. The buffet at Flavors was diverse and of high quality, offering something for everyone. The beach bar was perfect for enjoying a refreshing cocktail with a view of the sunset.

The resort’s facilities are outstanding, catering to all guests’ needs. The pools were inviting and well-maintained, with one specifically for adults seeking a quieter atmosphere. The spa was a highlight, offering a range of treatments that left me feeling rejuvenated. The Kids Club was a fantastic feature, providing a safe and fun environment for the children in our group. Additionally, the resort’s private beach was pristine, offering crystal-clear waters and ample loungers.

4. Ikos Oceania, Halkidiki: Intimate Luxury with Panoramic Views

First opened: 2005

Perched on a hill with breathtaking views, Ikos Oceania offers a more intimate resort experience. The original and very first Ikos, its smaller scale does not compromise on luxury, making it perfect for couples. Ikos Oceania is located in a picturesque area of Halkidiki, offering stunning views and a peaceful environment. The resort’s elevated position provides breathtaking sea views from almost every angle. The nearby town offers a charming glimpse into local life, and the resort’s shuttle service made it easy to explore. The location is perfect for those looking to combine luxury with a touch of local culture.

• Scenic Views: Enjoy panoramic vistas of the sea and surrounding landscapes.
• Culinary Delights: Exceptional restaurants, including French and Greek specialties.
• Exclusive Amenities: The complimentary MINI car service is perfect for exploring the area.

Considerations

• The resort’s hilly terrain might be challenging for some guests.
• It also offers fewer facilities compared to other Ikos resorts.
• Rooms felt smaller and less than the 5-star standard.

Rooms at Ikos Oceania

The accommodations at Ikos Oceania felt smaller than other Ikos properties. We stayed in a Deluxe Junior Suite, which offered stunning panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. The room was tastefully decorated with a modern design and featured a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and a private balcony. The daily replenished minibar and thoughtful touches like a welcome bottle of champagne added to the luxurious experience. We did think however, that the suite felt a bit small and not entirely up to the 5-star standard expected. My parents stayed in a standard room and while the rooms are well-designed and comfortable, they lacked the spaciousness found in comparable luxury resorts.

Ikos Oceania’s Food & Drink Offering

The culinary options at Ikos Oceania were diverse and delicious. The French restaurant, Provence, offered exquisite dishes paired with fine wines, while Ouzo provided a taste of traditional Greek cuisine. The buffet at Flavors was extensive, with a variety of international dishes. The bar service was excellent, with a wide range of cocktails and premium beverages available.

Ikos Oceania’s Facilities

The resort’s facilities were impressive, including multiple pools, a well-equipped gym, and a luxurious spa. The private beach was a standout feature, offering clear waters and comfortable loungers. The resort also provided complimentary access to a MINI car, allowing guests to explore the surrounding area. The service was consistently excellent, with attentive staff ensuring a seamless experience, but we struggled to book spa treatments as they filled up very quickly at this particular resort. We would absolutely recommend booking far in advance if you know you would like to enjoy the spa at Ikos Oceania.

5. Ikos Aria, Kos: A Cultural Retreat

First opened: May 2019

On the tranquil island of Kos, Ikos Aria blends luxury with historical allure. It’s an ideal spot for those interested in cultural excursions alongside their beach holiday. Ikos Aria is set on the picturesque island of Kos, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and cultural exploration. The resort is located near several historical sites, providing easy access to local attractions. The natural beauty of the island, with its sandy beaches and clear waters, made it an ideal location for a relaxing getaway. The resort’s shuttle service made it convenient to explore the nearby town and other areas.

• Additionally, while the beach is lovely, some areas have rocky sections.

The Deluxe Room at Ikos Aria was spacious and beautifully designed, offering stunning views of the Aegean Sea. The room featured modern decor with a comfortable bed, a cozy seating area, and a luxurious bathroom with a deep soaking tub. The balcony was a perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, overlooking the tranquil waters.

Ikos Aria’s Food & Drink Offering

The dining options at Ikos Aria were superb, with seven à la carte restaurants to choose from. The Greek restaurant, Ouzo, offered delicious local dishes, while Anaya provided a delightful Asian fusion experience. Like the other Ikos resorts, the buffet at Flavors was impressive, with a wide range of dishes that catered to all tastes. The wine selection was extensive, and the cocktail bars offered creative and refreshing drinks.

Ikos Aria’s Facilities

The resort’s facilities were once again extensive. The pools were numerous and varied, including a beautiful infinity pool with stunning views. The spa was a highlight, offering a range of treatments that left me feeling completely relaxed. The Kids Club was excellent, providing engaging activities for children of all ages. The beach was beautiful, with fine sand and clear waters, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.

6. Ikos Porto Petro, Mallorca: A Mediterranean Dream

First opened: June 2023

The newest addition to the Ikos family, Ikos Porto Petro, offers a unique blend of Mediterranean charm and modern luxury. Set in the scenic beauty of Mallorca, it’s perfect for those seeking a peaceful and refined retreat. Situated on the stunning island of Mallorca, Ikos Porto Petro enjoys a prime location surrounded by natural beauty. The resort is close to Mondrago National Park, offering scenic hiking trails and opportunities for nature exploration. The local village of Porto Petro is charming and provides a glimpse into traditional Mallorcan life. The resort’s secluded location made it a peaceful retreat, ideal for those looking to unwind in a luxurious setting.

The room was spacious and elegantly decorated, featuring a comfortable king-sized bed, a stylish living area, and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. The balcony was a highlight, perfect for enjoying the beautiful sunset over the sea.

Dining at Ikos Porto Petro was a delightful experience. The resort offered several à la carte restaurants, each providing a unique culinary experience. The Mediterranean restaurant, Fresco, served delicious seafood and pasta dishes, while Anaya offered a fusion of Asian flavors. The buffet at Flavors was varied and high-quality, catering to all dietary preferences. The bar service was excellent,and the cocktails were crafted with great skill, featuring fresh ingredients and innovative twists.

Ikos Porto Petro’s Facilities

The facilities at Ikos Porto Petro were exceptional. The resort offered multiple pools, including an adults-only infinity pool with breathtaking views. The spa was a sanctuary of relaxation, providing a wide range of treatments and wellness services. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the daily activities, including yoga and water sports, kept guests engaged. The resort also had a beautiful private beach, perfect for lounging and water activities.

7. Ikos Andalusia, Costa del Sol: Fusion of Sophistication & Spanish Flair

The resort is approximately 50 minutes from Málaga Airport, making it an accessible destination for international travelers. The surrounding area is known for its pristine beaches, lush golf courses, and historic sites, offering ample opportunities for exploration.
